Why? Why are you doing this?

Short Answer:

We simply have a lot of fun doing this show and enjoy doing it for people who do good things for people. It gives us a good feeling. Like a delicious, warm...

Long Answer:

We have been doing this show for a long time and, quite accidentally discovered it was something that might have a more noble purpose than getting to be funny for an appreciative audience.

Before we all got rich and famous doing this gig, one night in July 2006 a bunch of were at the JP Café in Jamaica Plain, MA. Apparently, some very smaht students from MIT were going to present their very smart research and the steadily drinking crowd was going to heckle them. How can that NOT be fun, right? Anyway, after sitting around for 20 minutes waiting for the show to begin, the owner sheepishly apologized that they were missing some equipment and it would be a while before they got underway.  Then he added, trying to lighten the disappointment, "Does anyone know any jokes?"

Sharing the same look that bank robbers share as they're driving away with the money, we stormed the stage and entertained the crowd until the real show started.  We got some appreciative slaps on the back from some bar patrons who 20 minutes ago thought they had wasted a night, and soon afterward, the owner came over. He thanked us, bought us all a round of drinks, and suggested we return to do a charity gig... and the rest is comedic history. And that is how the camel got it's hump.
